London International Shipping Week (LISW) is proud to announce Inmarsat as Diamond Sponsor of LISW 2019.
Inmarsat, a British satellite telecommunications company which provides mobile communication services to the maritime industry worldwide, is a high-profile supporter of LISW, choosing to renew this top-level sponsorship position it previously held in 2017, 2015 and 2013.
Announcing Inmarsat’s support of LISW, Ronald Spithout, Inmarsat Maritime President, said: “Our events on digital disruption, cyber security and maritime safety events during LISW 2017 demonstrated how satellite connectivity plays a pivotal role in enabling and accelerating the digitalisation of the entire shipping industry."

News of Inmarsat’s involvement follows confirmation of a series of other sponsors of LISW19 which include Clarksons, Thomas Miller and Faststream. Over 50 international industry trade associations, UK Government departments and the Devolved Administrations have so far signed up as Supporting Organisations of LISW19.
The move is significant so soon into the start of the campaign for the next LISW and is further proof that global shipping considers London International Shipping Week as the ‘must attend’ event in the global maritime calendar.
Listed among those Supporting Organisations that have so far confirmed include major ship owner, ship broking, legal and port associations.
The date of London International Shipping Week 2019 has been announced as the week of September 9 to 13, 2019.
