Echomax Introduces Their New Combi Radar Bracket

Echomax was formed in 1998 following the purchase of John Firths third patent which

was based on a revolutionary symmetrical three stack twelve corner array. When viewed from the horizon there is a fully open orthogonal corner facing you and one about to open or close.

Since then their radar reflectors have become one of the best known passive radar reflectors in the world. From pleasure vessels to now being fitted by many of the leading buoy manufacturers in Europe, Australia, USA, Canada, Port and Harbour Authorities world wide. Many foreign Navies including US Nuclear Submarines, The Dutch, French, USA, Danish, Swedish, UK Navies and many others use and trust Echomax.

MK2 Combi Bracket

Echomax has produced a new stainless steel Combi bracket which solves the issues fitting their Base mounted radar reflectors, Compact, Active X/ XS, Navigation lights, AIS or VHF with a radar already in situ. The Combi has fixings for smaller radars such as

Raymarine, Garmin, Simrad, Furuno.

The basic upright allows safe positioning over the radar of Echomax’s popular EM230 Basemount, Compact or Compact Plus radar reflectors – with or without a navigation light or Active X or XS target enhancers.

Optional Extras

  • Top Plate: The top plate is available with fixings for an Active RTE, AIS and Hella 360/Orionis LED light.

  • Stainless Steel ADM100 – a 100mm 1 ¼ tpi thread for the RTE, AIS and VHF.

Alternative fixing may be possible upon consultation with Echomax.

For example, due to the high number of requests Echomax are already working on a QD version for low bridges – watch this space!
