At the end of July a ship outfitting company based in Lithuanian confirmed a large order for a consignment of ROLASOLV® fabric roller and blackout blinds for a project they are working on.
The blinds are for a new ship being built in Norway – “newbuild 93.” The order included 37 DIMMLITE® roller blinds and 44 STOPLITE® blackout roller blinds using a range of fabrics with BS5438 flame spread certification. RAL coloured profiles were also specified to meet the interior design brief of the vessel’s complex requirements.
The ROLASOLV® range of fabric blinds are Type Approved by DNV and comply with the mandatory IMO FTPC
Part 7 A.563(14) Resolution.
Paul Hopkins, Sales and Marketing Executive for Solar Solve commented, “It is always great to receive a prestigious order from a new client. We have been working on this project since November 2020 so we are pleased to finally have the order confirmed and to start manufacturing the blinds that are going to be installed as part of a larger turnkey project. We are continuing to export our products worldwide despite the global pandemic and have seen the beginning of a recovery in the newbuild sector. Lots of vessel orders are being confirmed and shipyard berths are booked out for at least the next three to four years which bodes well for the marine industry.”
