The morning rush hour at London’s Bank tube station will be brightened up by the sea shanties of the Exmouth Shanty Men, when the group plays there on Tuesday, 12
September.
The show, which runs from 7-10am, is a promotion for London International Shipping Week
(LISW), and sponsored by Britain’s largest ports operator ABP.
Rajesh Agrawal, London’s Deputy Mayor for Business, said: "The capital hosts numerous prestigious events and exhibitions and we look forward to welcoming people from across the world for London International Shipping Week.
"Our city is a leading centre in the international shipping industry, with containers and ships that move across the globe relying on expertise from London's financial and professional services companies.
"This event is another sign that London is open for business and the perfect location for international events."
Following their performance at Bank station, which sees 73,000 people pass through during rush hour, the Shanty Men will embark on a tour of various LISW events, including a reception at the Chinese Shipping Association.

The Shanty Men not only promote the start of LISW but highlight the central role our ports have always played in the UK’s economy.”
