Grimsby Shipyard Services Ltd (GSS), since it’s opening in September 2016, has proved to be a successful addition to the Port of Grimsby east/Grimsby Fish Docks facilities. A wide variety of vessels have taken advantage of the competitive, convenience and professional service for lifting vessels out of the water.
The focus in Grimsby is Fishing and Renewables, creating an active Port with opportunity. Apart from a large number of vessels connected to Offshore Renewables being lifted out of the water there have been numerous fishing vessels and crabbers using the service. We have layup space available and can provide better rates for long term work if required.
The new 200t hoist is the centre piece of the £2.3m investment into the renewed facility. GSS can ‘Project Manage’ or provide facilities for painting, repairs and maintenance through local companies. Jet washing is available all the time.
